I think I'm getting it in my mouse (right) hand. I'm at the computer for about 8-10 hours per day. I've been noticing some tingling and aching in my hand and fingers.
Start taking 2 Advil every 4 hours or so (its an anti-inflammatory) and if you still get some minor tingling, sleep with a wrist brace on the effected arm, those two steps should take care of most of it.
Should I switch to a different pointing device like a track ball or something? I would think that it would only get worse if I continue to use my mouse.
Use a lefthanded mouse. When the keyboard and mouse were originally designed, the mouse was intended for the left hand and the right hand was supposed to be used to operate the numeric keypad.
Take a couple minutes every hour to give your hand a break. Get some of those things to strengthen your grip. Take care of the problem now or you will be in for some serious problems later.
