Anyone have audio problems with a PS2?

So I just got myself a HT system last night. My PS2 is connected into my reciever through the optical input. The one problem is that I cant get the reciever to play any DVDs in 5.1 surround sound. It will only play in Pro Logic 2. I dont think I have a DTS movie that I can test either.... Any suggestions?
 
My stupid reciever has the default audio for the DVD set as coax. When I change it to optical, I still cant get the dolby digital to play. I can get the DTS but not the dolby digital.

I got it to work! There was a stupid default in the PS2 dvd menu that screwed everything up.
