Anyone have Aramark as their food service at work?

I wanted to get my money's worth so when I ladled my spicy chicken soup I drained out as much of the water as I could with each ladle. So I managed to get a cup of soup with 95% solid and 5% liquid. But then I looked into the soup bowl and there wasn't much solid stuff left, just a lot of liquid, and I felt bad for the other people who would only get really watery soup. Will Aramark refill the soup with solids or will they just leave it as-is?

Sure they do, you know what, grab a handful of 20's from the cash register while you're at it, they refill those too.

How cheap can you be? Seriously, do you bring in your ice cube trays from home to fill up?

Haha. Funny.

When I worked at the large, five-sided building, Aramark had the food service contract for a while. They used to charge for sandwiches and salads by weight. The price per pound for sandwiches was grossly higher than the price per pound for salads. Some of my colleagues quickly found a way around the high price of sandwiches. They would lay two slices of bread on a salad plate, add several slices of meat over the bread, then pile the salad lettuce over the bread and meat, covering them. The cashier would then ring it up as a salad, because it looked like a salad. Not exactly the fairest thing to do, but some people are cheap and unscrupulous.

No, but I'm sure now they'll institute a national company-wide policy to closely monitor all soup solids and keep on hand at every one of their service locations extra solids so that when any soup's solid:broth ratio gets critically low, one of their undoubtedly top-notch, customer service-oriented food preparation paraprofessionals can jump into action and add solids until the offending soup has reached a safe solid:broth ratio.

http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/soup

soup Audio Help /sup/ Pronunciation Key - Show Spelled Pronunciation[soop] Pronunciation Key - Show IPA Pronunciation,
?noun 1. a liquid food made by boiling or simmering meat, fish, or vegetables with various added ingredients.

OP, if you have under 51% liquid in your bowl, then dump it back in the container from whence it came and go get a piece of grilled chicken or something.

Speaking of prices... I wanted to start getting potato salad or macaroni salad to replace eating fries at lunch (definitely not good fer ya), but they charge the same price for those items as they do for salad :Q. I got a little bowl of potato salad and it cost me $1.20 compared to a nice container of juicy fries for 80 cents... well, I can't stand a horrible deal :(.

EDIT:

I'd do the same thing bunnies... I like my soup hearty... like fuckin' Campbell's Chunky.

They used to have a fixed price on salads here at work(whatever you could fit in the bowl)

Engineers here ruined it though, they'd take crackers and line the edges of the bowls to get another 2 inches of salad.

Aramark is a ripoff .... they charge like twice as much as most fast food places and the fast food places have better food.

Yeah yeah, they contain mayonnaise which isn't that great either, but I can pretend it's low fat and still feel good about myself! :p Also, if you knew that I have high blood pressure (hereditary :(), the fact that the fries are salty is not a good thing for me.

EDIT:

Also they don't really have any fruit that I like available. I prefer Macintosh apples to which they only have Gala and Fuji :(.
