Anyone have any thoughts on the U of Phoenix (nationwide school, not AZ state school)

I thought about going there for a bachelor's in IT, but I can't tell if their courses are worth it. The only reason I considered them is that they accept credits from ITT Tech, which has proven to be the biggest waste of $30K ever.

I'm not opposed to starting over if I have to, so if you have any experience with UofP or know someone who has, let me know about it. Thanks.

Guess you have to wash Fausto's thongs by hand for a week, then.

edit: missed a word.

The courses are tough and pretty in-depth. But unless you have a GI Bill or corporate reimbursment, it is pretty expensive (online anyway).

Yeah, I'm thinking it will be cheaper to take classes at my local state university than to do the 2ish years at UofP. My employer offers no tuition reimbursment, so I'm still stuck with $20k of my $30k from ITT.

Local (in-state) tuition is usually a lot cheaper. You don't finish as fast, but you won't pay as much either.

how much cheaper is in-state? and how long do you have to be a resident to be considered in-state?

I would like to know that, too, because the Milwaukee campus is only a 20-30 minute drive for me.

Depends on the school

depends on the state.

Oh wait...are you asking the difference in price for UofP? There is no in-state/out of state tuition. The tuition is the same for everyone.

see post above. the tuition for UofP is the same regardless of where you live (the comment i made about in-state was meant for your local colleges and the like). There is a difference in rate for Online and physical campus at UofP. That all depends on the campus.

From what I understand it's a reasonably decent school. There are those who dispise it and there are those who praise it. It's up to you to decide for yourself.
