laying around and want to get rid of for cheap?

I just spent two weeks in the hospital and came home to two dead mobos.

Money is super tight but will consider all offers.

Would like to get my enigma@home points back up to par.

was sick for 4 days at home thinking I had the flu, wife made me goto the doc on Friday, had 103.1 temp. they sent me straight to the hospital. Got there couple cat scans later, and they said I had alcoholic hepatitis of the liver, and pneumonia from aspirating on vomit while I was sick.

Then I started getting ice pick headaches in my left ear, so they did a arterial biopsy which put me in a medical induced coma for 14 hours because me o2 level wouldn't come back up.

Then spent the next while on and off o2 until my lungs were clear. Then got to come home to dead mobo's 😛

Glad you're okay. I went to the ER with a 104.1F temperature and they sent me home saying I had the flu. Luckily I did.

The previous time I did that, I went home and came back. They diagnosed me with TB or cancer, ran test after test, was tested negative for TB so they thought I had cancer. I had so many CT scans (at least 6), a few mucus tests (breathed in saline solution... isn't fun), and a bronchoscopy. 3 saline washes, 3 brushes, and 3 biopsies of the lungs later, I was bleeding into my lungs and coughing up blood. I developed a secondary infection too. Spent time in O2 too because my Blood Oxygen Levels were low. By the end of it, it was just pneumonia and anti-biotics cleared everything up.

Glad you came out of it and you're okay. I wish I had a 775 board laying around.
 
Still looking? Going thru "the pile" I have two mobos idling. Got an Asus P5KPL-CM and a PTGD-LA collectinng dust. Let me know.

Ps. both are missing any cpu cooling mounts, I.e down to the bare holes on the mobo. ANd I don't have any of the drivers.

Actually this solves a problem. Gets parts off the bench back in service without having to deal with the "but it works, I can't throw it out. I'll use it again someday" sickness.
 
I certaily know that disease ... I usually build some midrange computers out of spare parts and donate them to schools homes for the elderly, etc.

I tried that once but as they came alive they went to friends/familiy members/family members friends and such and I became the "free" tech and it became annoying so that stopped and the pile began. Got 4 comps in this house (3 desktops(Mom,Me,Son) and 1 laptop(son is in college and needs toys)) and two with my Ex-wife(Witch and WOW addicted daughter) that were gonna make me rich on eBay but never did.

Kids got old enough to figure out how to kill Boinc swearing that it killed Facebook and exwife had some freind wipe her machine because she was afraid I had things that could stalk her with. THey are all being used (except mine) by techno-morons but i's ok. There all out of scrounged parts and the only thing I've actually paid for is power supplies and the occasional hard drive. 30yr+ in the industry, one collects alot of junk.

That is why I give them to schools or hospitals - they have their own techs and do their own maintenance ... although I do not "asslaminate" them ...

One sure does. I had a nice collection of old PC stuff of all kinds. Came in handy a time or two. Work had an old PC running for dos-based voicemail, power supply died. I had the exact same AT type power supply at home. We were back up and running in a couple of hours. 🙂

Had to get rid of it all when we moved to Chicago a couple of years ago, downsized from a home to a 2 bedroom apt. 🙁

And this TeAm has always been great about sharing stuff, basically recycling parts so they are used, and help the TeAm with projects. I've been the recipient and sender of many a part to get or keep crunchers running! 😀
