Anyone have any Scleral contact Lenses?

I just got a pair today, and they're about the size of a quarter... I have regular contact lenses, and those are a pain in the arse to get in... is it much harder to get the scleral lenses in? Please help if you know anything about these lenses... thanks

I don't have them, but I'm curious what's the story on scleral contact lenses, what is different about them?

size of a quarter, geez, mine are dime-size, and got used to them after a few weeks. No way could I get a quarter sized one in. I would just have to stay blind or get glasses....

Yeah, these Scleral contact lenses are pretty frickin' big... you know Wes Borland (guitar player from Limp Bizkit) he has a pair of Scleral Contacts... his are black... they're huge. That's what a scleral lens is... I've worn mine around, and in fact, I've found them easier to put in than other contacts, yet they are a bit more painfull... itchy and makes your eyes water than the average contact lens.
