Anyone have any recommendations for books / setup dvd's for a front projector home theater system?

My friend at work just bought a new front projector and screen which should be delivered next week,

He wanted to know if there were any resources out there on how to properly set it up and particularly if there were any test dvd's that would assist inital settings and what not

I know for setting up regular rear projections tv's there's stuff like the "avia" test dvd and what not....do the concepts on that disc work for front projectors as well?

Thanks for any ideas


(edit: note, he's looking for stuff to setup the video portion only, not necessarily the audio aspects of the home theater)

I believe so, theres not much of a diff. It also has audio stuff too, but the test screens really help with video

Video Essentials and AVIA are what hes looking for. Some of the tests dont work as well but most of them do to get your set aligned properly.

Yeah, but it can't hurt to find tweaks specific to that projector.
