Anyone have any names of decent credit card companies to transfer balances?

I'm paying way too much A.P.R. on a few too many cards and would like some info on a few credit card companies that offer decent rates on balance transfers and ongoing rates. I plan on calling them first (after lowering the balances quite a bit of course) and trying to get them to lower the rates before I give them the axe. Any info on the best way to negotiate for the lower rates with my current cc companies would help also. Thanks in advance.

I just got a 0% APR until Feb, 2002 on balance transfers through AT&T Universal Card. My summer project is getting that paid off. Nice of them to hold off charging me interest in the meantime! :)

I would check out AT&T's card. They seemed to have the best deal of all. I'm not using the card for purchases (always keep balance transfers, purchases, and cash advances separate because of the way payments get applied to your account--usually paying off the lowest interest debt first), but I think their APR for purchases was pretty good at 13% or so. Of course, I get 9.99% from my AMEX Blue (plus all their extra services like extended warranty and price matching) so I put all purchases on there.

Good luck to you
