Anyone have any info on new PS3 consoles?

I've read around the Internet and there is supposed to be a new 80GB PS3 bundle in June with MGS4 and probably a DualShock 3 controller included. Does anyone have info (with links preferably) as to whether or not it will have the reduced power requirements (like the die shrinks on the current 40GB model) and software backwards compatibility included?

Here is one tidbit I found.

Yes, similar to the Motorstorm bundle, the new MGS4 bundle features an 80GB PS3 with some PS2 backwards compatibility.

Look at the top of the page, "Al De Leon // PR Manager, SCEA"

That's the only confirmation I've seen about BC, and I haven't read anything except speculation that it will use the 65nm Cell.

I also haven't seen any news about price cuts or when the 40 GB will start to include a Dual Shock 3 controller.

There are 2 version of the MGS4 bundle.

1) 40GB Gunmetal finish w/ matching DS3. This bundle has a MSRP of $499. This bundle will be in very very very limited quantity according to Sony. Konami Japan released a pre-order of this bundle last month and was quickly sold out.

2) 80GB Piano Black finish w/ DS3. This bundle has a MSRP of $499. You can see this at Sony Style. Pre-order has not been activated yet, but it's suppose to go on sale the same day as MGS4 release date, June 12th.

Ps. There's no reason why there should be finger prints on your PS3 unless you play with it w/ your dirty greasy fingers all the time.

Expensive paintjob?

Here's a question that I got to thinking about yesterday while painting some WWII miniatures, and the instructions I was reading on the Internet told me to use gunmetal colored paint for the guns - what guns are actually the grey color that is called gunmetal? All of my guns are solid black, as black as my PS3. I googled it up and found that gunmetal is a bronze alloy that used to be used in guns (cannons), but it doesn't sound like it'd be gunmetal in color...

I painted my miniatures' guns black.

Bundles are not at all uncommon.

It is the different hardware variations this generation between the 360 and PS3 that are new.

a manager at gamestop told me only 5% of the initial bundles released will be gunmetal, and the rest (which will continue for many months) will be regular. i dont want a gray ps3 w/ less space anyway.
