Anyone have any experiences with Trendwest? sorta of a timeshare program

Wondering if any atoter had any experiences with Trendwest. I was thinking about it and it's really not that bad of a deal.

It's similar to a timeshare where you're paying for a property but it's different in that versus being restricted to only on property for a specific week, you have access to all their resorts. So it's more of paying for credits to use each year at any of their resorts. First come first serve basis.

I'm thinking of starting off with 10k, which gives roughly about 10-12 days of vacation for the next 40 some years.

ugh telemarketers. i would say dont offer them one red cent, but their pockets are so deep that swaying one person away probably wont even dent them.

when i young and stupid, i did some cold-calling for them. i was there for a couple weeks before my morals and ethics smacked some sense in me.

edit: btw, sorry i didnt add anything relevant to the topic. but in my experience, these guys are pretty much the worst of the worst of telemarketing and i would avoid them like the plague simply because of that. i still get unsolicited calls occasionally at work from them. i cut the guys off and finish their spiels for them and then say 'no thanks'.

my parents have been trying to get rid of their timeshare for YEARS. Don't do it unless you are absolutely sure. And don't pick some obscure week in October to go on vacation because if/when you have kids, they'll have school (haha, thats what my parents did)

We have had Trendwest/Worldmark for the last couple of years and love it, 10K points should cost you about $8k.

Let me know if you have any questions.
