Anyone have any experience with Directron Silencer fans?

I believe directron just sells the PCP&C Silencer fans. I've used more than 20 of them over the years and I can say they're fantastic. I've never heard anything quieter. there may be a few exotic fans that are quieter but they are expensive and hard to find. keep in mind thought that while the silencer is extremely quiet, it is not completely SILENT. (in other words, if you have 0 other sources of noise and you concentrate on it, you can hear the rushing of air)

They're nice quiet fans, in between the Panaflo L1a's and the super quiet NMB's from SVC, both in terms of noise and airflow. Don't believe the cfm rating, they're good, but not a miracle. Good for case ventilation in a box that breathes well and isn't loaded with a bunch of stuff.

I've had a handfull running in my psu's for a while now. When I first got them, they seemed as quiet as the papst 12db ngl. Actually they seemed quieter, but as the papst got worn in, it approached silent. After more than a year of running them, I can say that the silencers- while good- are not ngl's. They are now somewhat audible at stock voltage, so I've brought them down to 5v (which is silent, but pushes very little cfm). I wouldn't use a silencer for anything on the actual case or in the PSU. They should be fine for cooling internal HD enclosures and perhaps the cpu.
