Anyone have any experience with CommuniGate mail server software?

Check out the specs at stalker.com.

I am considering it as a replacement for our dated Post Office mail server. This software is used at Harvard!

PS - sorry for the cross-posting, but I figured some of the network admins here would have more experience with this sort of thing.

I worked at a small local ISP with about 3K clients (each "client" was usually some sort of small business so maybe 5 employees each?) and we ran Communigate without any major issues. Also know of a few other ISP's that used the software. The main guy that develops Communigate seems like a a very smart guy...probably one of those genious types.

There are a lot of ports for different platforms available and it seems the software is very techincally sound. The only bad thing about it is that the default user interfaces are really ugly. However, it's made so you can create your own HTML pages to stick on the web-interface.

Overall I think it's an excellent piece of software. I would choose it over sendmail and Exchange which are the other programs I've used, although that's probably not saying much.

Stability is more key for us... we have about 1300 customers ranging from 0-50 E-mails accounts each... We plan on having a developer work on the interface so it has our company theme to it.

When I heard it came from stalker.com I laughed!
