Hey everyone. I recently applied for a screener position at our local airport with the TSA. I was invited to take the Phase I test, which I did today and passed, and now I was invited to the Phase II test. Anyone have any experience in applying for TSA jobs? What are the physical tests and interview like? I'd like a heads up on some of this stuff, as I really would love to score this job.

Thanks!

Haha, no tattoos so I'm good there. Not a smudge on my record at 'tall. As for relocating, it's not necessary, its at my local airport about 4-5 miles away. The short commute is something I would definately love. As for patting down strangers, I'm way ahead of you.

Yeah and don't worry about terrorists.

It's now more easier then ever to infiltrate the US from Mexico or the coast as both the Border Patrol and US Coast Guard are grossly under funded.

But hey you get to pat down grandma cause you cought her scratching her thigh in the line. =p

You can't have it both ways. People get pissed when some old grandma gets stopped by screeners, because why? Because she does not fit the profile of a would be terrorist. Those who complain are the same people who make a lot of naoise when those of arab desent are stopped and given special attention. I realize that there is a middle ground here but you still cannot have it both ways.

If you're elderly, overweight, balding, and enjoy copping a feel in the name of searching someone, you have a very good chance of getting hired.
