Anyone have an SB Live! Drive II?

I want to dabble in a little recording, so I got Cakewalk Home Studio 9. Right now I'm using a Vortex2 Superquad, which is pretty limited as far as recording options go. The most cost-effective solution looks like getting a SB Live! 5.1 OEM (Newegg $36) and Live! Drive II (Compgeeks $60 refurbed) (I'm assuming the Live Drive! will work with this card?). Can I plug my guitar amp into the Live! Drive without using a mixer? Also, has anyone has success using a digital mixer with the digital I/Os on the Live! Drive? Here are some specs I found on SB's site. Thanks
