Anyone have an insight on this HDD?

I have a CFI&II/Microdrive reader, I cut off the plastic tabs so they wouldn't block the larger HDD, but it won't read.
The HDD is from an mp3 player but I can't get it to register aside from being in the mp3 player.
Anyone gone through something like this?

Here are some of the specs - apparently it is used more in Europe than the US.
