Anyone have an idea what this error from the Event Viewer in WinXP means?

I was running mIRC and Winamp when I tried to launch Dungeon Siege and my machine locked. I went to event viewer and this is what it had to say.

DCOM got error "The service database is locked. " attempting to start the service netman with arguments "" in order to run the server:
{BA126AE5-2166-11D1-B1D0-00805FC1270E}

I went to the windows help page that it suggested I go to, in order to see more info about this error, and it says this:

Product: Windows Operating System
ID: 10005
Source: DCOM
Version: 5.0
Component: System Event Log
Symbolic Name: EVENT_RPCSS_START_SERVICE_FAILURE
Message: DCOM got error "%%%1" attempting to start the service %2 with arguments "%3" in order to run the server:
%4

Explanation
The service can be started. However, the service controller received an error.

User Action
Check the Event Viewer for any errors related to the service controller.

Any idea what the heck this is? it's happened a few times now. always when I'm running winamp and try to launch/exit from a game. Could it be the audigy2 drivers?

edit: my rig -
P4 2.4C, 2x512 OCZ PC3500 Basic (2.8v, 2.5-3-3-7), Abit IC7 (bios 1.6, CPC disabled), Radeon 9800np, Audigy2, nothing overclocked.
