I can pick one up, NIB, for $50. It would be replacing an HP 722C. How is the text/picture print quality? TIA

Im a big fan of epson printers. Not so sure about the 580 though, lemme see what i can find... You might be better off spending $75 and getting a C60.. The 580 is outdated.

I think the C60 is a great printer, i saw (and played) with it at Best Buy a week or two ago. If i had the money, i would go for a C80, but the C60 seems just fine... As for the 580, i would be careful.. Even though its NIB, a lot of their old printers dont support windows xp too well. My Epson Photo 750 dosent, and acts a little strange from time to time.

Personally, i would go with the C60 for only $15-$20 more...

personally, i wouldnt touch Epson printers. We had a bunch at my work, and they are utter junk. One problem with the 800s, 850s, and 860s is that when it runs outta paper while printing, when more paper is put in and resumed, it prints garbage until the printer has it's power cycled. I assume this is because of bad NT drivers, but that turns me off to them.

Hmmm, ive used my old 700 on NT with no problems... Your prolly right about the bad drivers... Personally, i dont touch HP's :D After 2 of them died after 3-4 months, we switched to epson 4-5 years ago and never looked back...

all we use are HPs. Greatest printers ever. the only problems we had were with the 970cxi. We replaced it with an 1160 and have had no problems since. The 4550's are REALLY NICE :)
