I picked up a 27" from Circuit City on Black Friday for $150. What a great deal... the thing looks and sounds great for the price.

Anyway, my problem is that when I just enter a channel via the numbers, it works fine. It's just the channel up and down buttons that aren't finding consecutive channels (it's going from 7, 11, 22, 64, 65, 122, etc.). I've lost the damn manual and Apexdigital.com was no help. I need to "reset" it so that it finds channels that now have a signal (pretty much the first 50 - cable tv). It is in cable mode already. The scan button is useless... it only goes through the channels it goes through already.

Anyone have any idea ?

I was looking at that TV also. On page 15 of that PDF manual it says you can add channels manually.

I'm a dumb@$$. I did find the manual and there is a tuner option in the menu that can "auto program". I was looking for this even before the manual, but I must have overlooked it then. Thanks for finding the PDF though.

Are there any budget universal remote controls that handle BOTH APEX TVs and DVD players? The AD-1500 remote control is a POS.

I'd prefer not to pay upwards of $25 for a learning remote, if at all possible.

I emailed RCA regarding their non-learning universal remotes, and they stated they don't support APEX at all; it didn't sound like they were even interested.
