Anyone have an all-in-one Washer/Dryer?

When I move next year I will be getting a new washer and dryer. I've been looking at front loaders, steam models, energy efficient systems, all kinds of stuff. The all-in-ones look pretty nifty. They seem to have a few quirks though (like having to use special detergent). Anyone own one? Care to comment?

I don't know for sure but things like that are usually expensive to repair when they break. Personally I'd stick to 2 separate units because they are tried and true and relatively easy to fix.

I'd get two separate machines too. If space is a concern, what about the stacking models.

Space isn't a concern, it just seemed like a nice feature. If I go with separate machines, is there anything in particular to look for? Is that steam stuff any good?

I stayed at a hotel once that had an all in one in the room, think it was a Samsung. It was a nice unit but not as good as a separate washer and dryer. It was nice to have in the hotel room but I wouldn't want one at home.

The all-in-one's look nice, but realistically i wouldnt think they'd be very efficient. You'd have to wait 2 hours to do the next load of laundry. Make's for a very long laundry day.
