ANyone have alpha centauri working in win2k?

I just installed sid meier's alpha centauri (great game) on win2k for the first time. Figured it works in 98, even been ported to linux why not win2k.. Well i can't get it to work. Anyone been able to get theirs? thanx.

edit: fixed my problem, guess i just needed to login as adminstrator doh.

well here's another question if anyone reads this thread, where do you find good servers for multiplayer. Just call me a geek, but i like this game.
