Anyone have a V5500 running at 89mz agp?

Would like to swap out my Asus 6800 running 133fsb on a BX mb for my Voodoo 5500 but want to know if anyone has been successful. I much prefer the quality of my V5 display but took it out of my main machine for an ATI AIW.

It should do it with no problem. One is running in my friends BX mb with a 140 mhz FSB.

I am unsure what my agp bus is running at but when I overclock my system I never have a problem. I have a p3 bx motherboard and when I go from 100 up to 133 with a software overclock(unrevised agp bus speed divider) it works fine. my v5 agp is one of the vary first ones made with the first bios version, I never update my cards bios since it runs so stable, best to leave it be I figured

well i much prefer my AiW to my V5 5500 but anyway you should be aware that the v5's are more likely to not run with the higher agp speed then the nvidia cards.....mine never liked 89 mhz but of course it will vary from card to card.

Not necessarily. My Voodoo5 5500 doesn't like much over 66MHz AGP.

Sounds like I might as well try it. My V5 display is much better than the asus 6800 although they're both fast. Rather keep the V5 as they just dont make them like that anymore!!

Just have to get the W2K drivers now.

I have one, just took it out of my third machine (selling the machine). I had it in a SOYO Sy-6ba+100 (bx) mobo with a P3 700 o/c'd to 960 (7x137mhz). The agp bus was running at 91mhz. Ran it like that for about six months with no problem. It sure is a shame they didn't put ddr on the V5. I'd probably still be using it.
