If i could pick up a used one for 100 bucks, would it be worth it?

I've heard great things about the total gyms, but i wanna hear from you guys.

IMO they are a waste of time and money. Either lift weights, or don't. But this is a joke.

"Fvckin' Chuck Norris!"

Honestly, it all depends on how serious you are gonna be about it... if you are remotely serious, use freeweights. If you are a 40 yr old housewife that will use it once a week at best, go for it. IMHO there is no comparison to pumping zee iuuuhn, but anything is better than nothing.

unless there's a REALLY COMPELLING REASON, free weights

For 100 bucks, it might be worth it. It is obviously not as good as a real gym, but IMO it is better than using the resistance type machines like the Bowflex. Resistance just feels weird to me. With the Total Gym, you are still using "normal" weight since it uses your body weight.

i'm not looking to bulk up, i'm looking to loose weight and tone and define my muscle
