Anyone have a Thermalright HR-05 SLI?

How far do the heatpipes/fins extend from the base?

My TR Ultra-120 currently shrouds my chipset heatsink, so adding a fan isn't an option, but an HR-05 SLI with its offset fins/pipes is, provided it doesn't extend so far that it hits my Radeon 3850.

I had the same delima back when I built my rig. And I determined (don't remember how) that the HR-05 SLI would be blocked by my GPU.

I ended up using the HR-05(non-sli) and mounting the TR Ultra-120ex sideways (fan blowing toward the top of the case)

Well I googled for additional pictures and measured the distance between my GPU and the edge of my northbridge. Looks like the HR-05 SLI won't fit either. I checked to see if I could re-orient my Ultra like you did, but it won't work. My phone is the same length as the width of the Ultra, so I rotated it and I was hitting my rear 120mm fan.

I think I'm screwed

Unless I turn it so that the fins are facing the front of my case...it may just make it past the fan on my Ultra-120...and if that fits...I won't need to add an extra fan.

Hell...I'll give it a shot and order one.

Yeah, mine was a tight fit, but the sflex 120mm fan fit nicely between the Ultra and the HR-05 kinda like a sandwich and pulls are through both
