Anyone have a spare PS for my Celery 300?

I've got a spare celeron 300 A lying around, the only problem with the system is that the old power supply is really messed up...half the wires have loose connections in the power supply so the system frequently shuts off on it's own. If anyone has a spare PS they can spare or send me for a low price(the motherboard can use AT or ATX) I'd be willing to set it up to crack 24/7 for TA RC5. And if anyone has a good hsf for celerons they can spare, I'll try to O/C it to 450.

I'm not trying to sound like a beggar, but I've got an old system lying around, so it's either going to go to RC5 or e-bay. I figured I might as well try here first.

did you try soldering the wires and repairing it? doesn't sound like it should be too hard(though i agree, it would be easier just to get a new PS 😉)

btw, does anyone know what kind of fuse an AT power supply would have? i got a system which didn't work and found out the fan had seized up making the fuse blow(i'm assuming, because the fuse is done for, and i definatly need to replace it) weird thing is i haven't seen a wattage on it yet... 😕

I don't have a soldering iron, and I've never opened a PS so I wouldn't know exactly what to look for. The only thing that tells me it's a loose wire is that if I play with it enough it'll eventually startup again, but other than that I really dunno what to do with it.

i can see where that would be a problem 😉 my dad is still trying to teach me how to 'properly' solder, lol. even if you do get a replacement, you may want to open it up and see what you can learn from it, maybe buy a cheap iron and practice 🙂

sorry I dont have one I am sorta in the same boat have 2 mobos W/ Chips and thats it! I need a PS floppy ram ect...the best thing to do is go out and get a 15 dollar POS that will last you for a wile...
