Just logged into my Sony Rewards account and expecting to see around 13,000 points it now shows 72,000 points! Obviously it's a mistake (I hope not though! :) ) but I'm seeing if anyone else has points errors.

I could get a new PS3 for only 45,000 points.. hmmmm. ;)

Think I'm going to wait a few days and see if this clears up.

I do:

I have a tad over 88,000 points - I've been accumulating since around 2005 when I bought a 36HS420 TV and redeemed all my points on that. I see nothing off with my balance.

I've got points expiring end of Nov so I need to buy sumin nice. maybe a DLSR, laptop, or LCD Tv

I always buy from a retailer on sale and then use a points form and ask for the amount to be credited back to my account.

I used to charge my rent on it to get points. just redeemed points for 4 PS3 Move controllers and a game. I think certain purchases give between 5-10 pts per dollar charged

since SonyRewards set up a referral site, buy stuff @ BestBuy.com for an extra 5 pts per dollar! meaning buying a Sony product (barf..) for + 5 pts = 10 pts.

p.s. - no point mistakes for me :(

Wow. I got more than I thought too. 44,600. And I just cashed out about 6 months ago.

Woah.

They've accidentally given me more points (double points for a couple of months), they figured it out and took them back.

I used to have one... until they cancelled it because I never used it and already paid it off. I used it to buy a PS3 during that nice $150 off special... can't beat a PS3 for $250 back then! But They had no qualms in cancelling it since it also erased all of my points :\.

You have the same honesty that my wife has.

Many years ago while she was looking at her etrade account - she noticed something odd - there were $500k worth of company stock in her account. She phoned and emailed etrade twice to inquire about the balance - all 3 times they said it wasn't a mistake, it's hers.

Rather than cashing out - she waited. About a week later, the shares were gone :(

I told her to cash out, go back to Canada, and retire...but she wouldn't listen. :)

I'd call Sony Rewards and just inquire about your account - verify the # of points are correct. If they say yes - then go forth and buy a ps3! :)

Email. Get it in writing.

I used to have a Sony card until it went to Chase. I converted it to a Chase Freedom card instead.
