anyone have a softmodded xbox...

is it possible to add a bigger hard drive to a softmodded xbox and still have it softmodded?

i want be able to store more mp3 and videos on it if possible

Yes, I have a 200GB HDD in my softmodded Xbox. I <3 XBMC.

yup. but instead of putting the mp3 and video on the xbox, i have it stream from my computer, which has 2.2TB of space.

you guys have any links on how to do this...does it require a certain hdd or do i just copy everythign from the original hdd to the new hdd

yup... But I've been alittle out of date on this.. How were you able to get a 200gb HD on it. I did mine about a year ago and everything I read said 137gb was the max

most soft mods will fix this problem, that was an old firmware thing
all the new ones are golden now

there's no point in a bigger HDD
stream your stuff. Thats the RIGHT way.

either way you have a lot to learn. Especially if you want to upgrade your softmodded HDD.

yeah upgrading your HDD is a pain with a softmod, you need either a modded xbox or you have to make a boot disc for your computer and put the HDD in there.

its the locking of the upgraded HDD to the xbox that is the tricky part

FYI i stream from my server also. Its the best way to get videos to every video source in the house.

some people think its dumb to have 4 xboxs, i dont
