I would love to get a couple skylights in our kitchen. We have a vaulted cieling and the light would face towards the east. I think it would look awesome, but I'm scared that in winter they would just get full of condensation and drip. Anyone have any experience w/ these things?

I have a skylight in my apartment and I love it. I haven't had any problems w/ it leaking, but I know some of my neighbors who have. Be sure to have it caulked well and line it so nothing can get through. It is great for waking me up in the morning, since the room is next to my bedroom.

We have two, one had a leak that we fixed esily enough. Other than that, no condensation drips or anything.

Yeah, the leaks I'm not worried about. If installed properly that shouldn't be an issue. It's the condensation that worries me. It can get to -35c (-30f) regularily here.

I think they pretty much all leak eventually. I have never talked to a roofer who likes them.
