Anyone have a Shuttle SN85G4 that runs really hot?

I have an SN85G4 V1 and it runs so hot that you can barely touch the case. I talked to Shuttle's tech support and they said that the PS's commonly run between 60C and 66C. Does anyone elses put out this much heat? I've built a few for my friends (although they were different models), and their's barely get warm.

My v2 is mediocre with the temps. It's not a machine that runs way down there, but it's never hot enough to bear concern over CPU damage or anything.

Wasn't there a change in the PSU from v1 to v2 because the PSU was known to run really hot?

Perhaps if you are having a real problem with it, you could modify the case to have an external PSU.

I ordered a new PSU from Shuttle for my case (its the new revision of the 240W supply). $73 bucks shipped though, kind of steep for that much power.

I got my new PSU in the mail from UPS today. This has to be the 4th package in a row from UPS where half the box is smashed in. Anyway it was packed fairly decently so it shouldn't have been a problem.

I unpacked it and plugged the new PS in and the computer boots up for a half second and then shuts off. I switched it back out with the original PS, and the computer boots up fine. I called Shuttle tech support and the guy on the phone had to be stoned out of his mind. I told him I only hooked up the motherboard connections and it didn't power up, while the old one did, and he spent about an hour consulting with another technician about what could be wrong. Anyway he told me to goto their website and fill out a request for an RMA.
