Anyone Have a Scythe Andy and is it any good?

I saw the Scythe Andy top-down cooler recently and it looked really interesting. Not sure if it's appropriate for overclockers but I figure one could replace the included fan with a higher CFM flow model for better performance. There are limited reviews on the web of this thing and there are only like 2 user feedbacks at the Egg. Plus, AT hasn't reviewed this yet and I'm not sure they will either. If any of you own the Andy, I'd love to hear a real-world opinion of it under an overclocked environment. Assume it would be used for a typical 6x00 @ 3.0 - 3.5 ghz OC.

Thx, B

Had one....bought it form CoolerGuys when they were blowing them out for $19.99.......but returned it. I had some fitment issues with the cooler on my wife's Gigabyte DS3 motherboard. Due to the way the heatpipes exit the cpu block and then curl around to the fins......and they stick waaaaaay out on the trip, I could orient it only in two positions and neither was optimal for good functioning of the heatpipes.

But I've seen some testing done and it, unfortunately, looks to be like a mid-level cpu cooler.....better than some, worse than some (Tuniq Tower, Ultra-120 Extreme....heck, the Ultra-120 did better, too.)

SPCR did a review of it.........I wasn't impressed by its performance, which made me feel better about it not fitting well. She's got a Freezer 7 Pro........I know.....there are a LOT better out there, but her C2D is mildly OC'd to 2.8GHz and it cools it very well....and for $14 shipped, cannot be beat for the price.

Hmm...that's unfortunate. Looked like it could have been a decent alternative to the parallel blowers. Oh well, I guess I'll stick to my orig plan of buying the TR. Thx for that.
