Anyone have a Samsung TXN3245FP television and successfully enable 1080i capability?

I've read that in the service menu for the TXN3245FP you can change the 'No 1080i' option from 0 to 1, allowing the TV to display 1080i content. This effectively changes a nice $600 flat screen EDTV into an even nicer $1000 flat screen HDTV. 😀 However, I've only seen a couple of posts on various HT forums about the hack... but I want some conclusive evidence!

So, before I plunk down 600 bucks on a new TV, I wanna know....anyone tried it??? If it works, it's one of the best deals for a new TV, period.

Ok, ok...it's been awhile since I've done any boolean algebra. 😱 You're right.

Anyways, maybe the "no" means number in this case, I don't know...I've just heard vague reports of it working. I want some more conclusive evidence before I plunk down $600!

Oh yeah!

Being posted on 2 separate forums as working is enough evidence for me! Now comes the hard part....buy myself the TV now, or buy my gf a birthday present....hmmm....
