Anyone have a Samsung TXN3245FP television and successfully enable 1080i capability?

I've read that in the service menu for the TXN3245FP you can change the 'No 1080i' option from 0 to 1, allowing the TV to display 1080i content. This effectively changes a nice $600 flat screen EDTV into an even nicer $1000 flat screen HDTV. However, I've only seen a couple of posts on various HT forums about the hack... but I want some conclusive evidence!

So, before I plunk down 600 bucks on a new TV, I wanna know....anyone tried it??? If it works, it's one of the best deals for a new TV, period.

if you turned a "No 1080i" option to "1" then one would assume that option would be turned off?

Ok, ok...it's been awhile since I've done any boolean algebra. You're right.

Anyways, maybe the "no" means number in this case, I don't know...I've just heard vague reports of it working. I want some more conclusive evidence before I plunk down $600!
