I've read that in the service menu for the TXN3245FP you can change the 'No 1080i' option from 0 to 1, allowing the TV to display 1080i content. This effectively changes a nice $600 flat screen EDTV into an even nicer $1000 flat screen HDTV.
However, I've only seen a couple of posts on various HT forums about the hack... but I want some conclusive evidence!
So, before I plunk down 600 bucks on a new TV, I wanna know....anyone tried it??? If it works, it's one of the best deals for a new TV, period.
