Anyone have a rough estimate on a date for the Radeon II?

Ok I've decided to give ATi another chance...I breifly owned a Radeon 64MB Vivo and was very impressed by the hardware, the drivers just sucked.

But I think I'll give them a second chance, does anyone know when the RadeonII/R200 will be available?

you're a daring man. Radeon was my last chance. I suspect the R200 will be out around the same time the Radeon was available, Sept/Oct timeframe, mass availability November.

Even though I've got a Radeon and it's working fine for me, I think I'd still let someone else be the early adopter. If it's out for a month and it's getting rave reviews as far as drivers go, I'm game to buy it. If it's getting so-so reviews, I'll wait a few months. If Tom and Anand say it's the best thing since sliced bread then I'll get it the first day it's out though😉

Daring? No just dumb....I just hope that a Radeon 2 will work well and cost less than a GF3. But it probably won't.

I won't buy it, but I expect the GeForce3 price to tumble as soon as it's released. At least that's what I'm hoping!

That's about the same time that the nForce will be coming out. Wait for that, it has an integrated GeForce 2 MX, which may suit your needs. If not, the price for a GeForce3 should be at an all-time low by then.
