Anyone have a Rosewill PSU?

I have the Rosewill RP550 550W PSU, and the fan inside it hasn't turned on yet. There are 3 switches on the back of the PSU labelled H, A, L (High, Auto, Low) in which it's been set to Auto. I'm wondering if anyone else has this PSU or any Rosewill PSU with this fan selector switch feature who could tell me if the reason the fan won't come on is because it's set to Auto and the PSU isn't getting hot enough for it not to come on? It's pretty cool in my bedroom where my pc is so it may just not be getting hot.

Anyone else know anything about this or has experience these Rosewill PSU's?

Thanks!

What happens on High or Low? Does the fan spin?

Edit: I've built a number of systems with Rosewill PSU's and at least one had the Auto setting which I left it on. The fan was spinning but very slowly.

This really doesn't help you I know. It still could be a temperature related thing.

It doesn't spin at all no matter which setting I choose...Auto, Low or High. Although when I touch the PSU it's barely warm and my system is overclocked heavly. It might be the fact that I have 4 powerful panaflo fans in my case moving air like a hurricane in there. That also could be why teh PSU isn't getting hot.

I don't know what I should do. I really don't want to wait another week atleast to RMA another PSU. 🙁

Why don't you disconnect all those fans and give it a try. Temporarily stop overclocking if you're nervous about cooling problems.

If the fan doesn't spin then, I'd say the PS is defective.

You've probably got a negative airflow situation and you're actually sucking air in throught the PS, keeping it cool. The only way I see to set your mind at ease is to quit the overclocking and turn off the fans as a test.
