well i did a search so i'm pretty sure you can use the 128 M SM cards. my question is, what is the firmware that i need to be able to use 128 MB, also does it matter what brand i get?

I don't know about the flash media, but you can get the latest firmware here.

I'm buying one myself soon. You need the latest firmware (2.15). Earlier versions only support up to 64MB.

As far as brands go, all SM cards are pretty much the same. Just get the cheapest one.
