I want to use the digital output of my PCI Audigy2 ZS sound card. Anyone have a clue what kind of cable I need? I don't know if it's S/PDIF or TOSLINK or what. It looks like it outputs from a mini, same size as a headphone jack. Anyone know?

spdif and toslink are the same thing i think (co-ax is the other type of digital)...you can get a mini spdif (3.5mm) to large spdif (square plug) converter .... however i'm not sure that will work as most people who use audigy's use the breakout box in the platinum version for digital output... you can try, as the converter's cant be more than a few dollars

You can download the user manual for that card from Creative's website... in PDF format.
Yes, you probably have to fit a RCA->minijack adapter onto the end of your digital cable.

I've used coaxial digital audio cables in the past...so, would the minijack adapter need to be mono or stereo? I'd imagine mono since a single RCA plug, as used in the coaxial digital audio cable, is a mono plug (two makes stereo). I've looked on the Creative site as well as in the paper documentation included with my sound card and the only reference I've found is that the digital out jack is S/PDIF. Meh :p
