Anyone have a Pioneer DEH-P4700MP head unit?

I just installed this unit and there's one REALLY annoying problem. When I have a CD in set to random, pressing the skip button goes to the next song in sequence, NOT the next random song. Any way to fix that?

I need to get some 3-way speakers to go with this unit. Any recommendations <$100?

DAMN! That sucks! I specifically got a cheaper unit hoping that no one would want to steal it. I mean, it's $150 HU. It's not like it's worth a ton of money.

Thanks for the link, I've read the manual a few times.

Maybe it's supposed to do that? Not too sure, I'd suggest reading the manual but you already have. Check some audio forums.

In my Pioneer DEH-P7700MP it works just the way it's supposed to :)

BTW, where did you buy your HU from? For $50 more you could have gotten the 7700, which blows the 4700 out of the water. (Support for AAC as well, a first)

Got it from Crutchfield for $150 shipped, including the chasis kit and the wire harness.

So does your HU skip to the next random song when you press Next/Skip? Is this with MP3's or regular CD's? Did you have to change any settings besides setting it to random?

Yes, I have a Pioneer 7600MP and the random does the same thing.. :| It only goes random if it actually finishes the previous song. I'm reading there's a ROUGH mode search but I haven't had time to play with it yet.

i have one of the DEH xxxMP head units, and no, mine does not do that. when i have it on random and push next, it goes to another random song.

however the thing that PISSES me off with it, as well as with winamp, is that it will start repeating random songs before it plays them all. not to mention, on mine, there is a pause between each song of like 1 second. i have a first gen MP3 head unit though so I doubt the newer ones have this 1 second delay.
