I had an older version (Nomad 20GB Jukebox) and I sold it and bought a Nomad 3 (for the firewire) and I am totally pissed off. Browsing the music is almost totally useless. For example: The only way to play an album is to browse by albums. In the old version you could select an artist or a genre and then select an album. Now, if you select an artist it then displays all of the tracks for that artist?major pain.

Anyway, I just wanted to know if anyone else has the same gripe. I am almost ready to sell the thing.

Yeah I have one and thats a bit of pain.

I tend to just browse by Album now.

And the iPod is not what I want. The iPod costs $150 more for the same hard drive size. It then costs me another $30 for firewire. So it nearly costs $200 more than the equivilant Nomad 3.

Only real bonus of the iPod versus Nomad 3 - form factor. And since I use mine at my desk, in my car, and on planes, the form factor means jack to me.
