Ended up in the ER last week because of horrible pain, and it turned out to be a bulging disk and a vertebrae that has grown back incorrect over the last 20 years after being broken. The 'new' bone is impinging on the nerve that handles my right back and right arm. The pain meds are keeping me semi-upright, but if I go off them I'm nearly in tears with it.
I've never had to deal with prolonged pain like this - for the last two weeks it's been like someone is jamming a hot poker in my neck and right elbow.
Anyone ever deal with something like this? Disk is between A4 and A5, and it looks like A5 is the vertebrae that broke in the past, probably during a bad car accident I was in.
