I am doing a school project on some Army stuff ( history of Natl. Guard if you're interested... ) and am looking to get copies of someones military discharge papers to post up as part of my project. None of my relatives were in Army so I can't get it from them.

If anyone would be willing to make me a copy of their discharge papers it would be much appreciated!!! Course you could white out your name / rank / SS# and whatever else is important, just would like copies of the basic papers. No one else will see your papers except my teacher and maybe 20 classmates. PM me or e-mail me at Superwormy@hotmail.com if you're willing to help!

Oh, and I'll pay shipping charges and whatnot for you to make the copies and ship them too!

I doubt you are going to get anyone to give you a copy of their DD 214. That document has enough information on it to allow someone to have a field day with your identity. I would suggest seeing if the press office might have a sample copy that you can use for this purpose.

Gah, I can't believe you're asking for such a valuable document.
As an active duty member, having had a couple of these. ( you get one each time you reenlist, as you are formally discharged from the previous tour)
With a DD214, you can help attain a VA loan for a new home extremely easily and quickly. For most people, getting a home loan nearly guaranteed with zero down and zero out of pocket expenses is a dream come true.
I honestly hope this will be used in good taste as it's one of the few major benefits offered to veterans today that remain a true gold mine.
