I don't know first hand but I know some people that® have it and they love it just because it does all® the work for you if you have a complicated entertainment® setup and have a ton of stuff to configure®. I remember a thread on this from somewhere, however I am much too lazy to go® find it.

I don't have the 880, but I received a 570 as a Christmas gift.

For one thing, it's incredibly easy to set up. Just enter the model numbers of your equipment, then set up your activities ("Watch TV", "Watch a DVD", "Play a game", etc.). The activities define what components to turn on, what inputs to select and where to direct volume controls. Download the information to your remote via USB and you're done.

Second of all, the LCD screen on the remote gives you access to less commonly used remote functions for all your devices without digging out the original remote.

Can't speak to 880's extra features, but I don't think you can go wrong with one of these.

First, what I control using my 880: Samsung 42" DLP HDTV, Samsung SIR-T451 OTA tuner, Mustek generic A/V reciever, Xbox 360, Xbox (original) with Xbox Media Center installed.

What makes it awesome for me is that after taking the time to set it up properly, things just work. All sound from my home theatre flows through the receiver, so I've simply mapped the volume up/down keys permanently to the receiver, no matter if you're watching TV, the OTA tuner, or playing the Xbox. The Xbox with XBMC on it is a godsend with the remote; I watch all my digitally stored TV and movies on it through that without having to use an actual Xbox controller. And so on.

Got one for Xmas (purchased from Dell when they were on sale for like $114 shipped a month or so ago). Setup and everything is a breeze but I discovered that the "right" directional hard key doesn't work, so I can't really scroll around in my digital cable guide very well. I have to figure out if I can return it to Dell for a new one tomorrow or if I have to go through the warranty process with Logitech. Other than that issue, I like it a lot!

I have an older one. I am sure the new one is the same maybe with some more flashy LCD and button layout. I would not spend more money for that.

And lol @ RedArmy. These kinds of jokes go un noticed.

Good to hear - do they do advance replacement if you give them a credit card number?

Yep.

I think I had to pay return shipping to Canada though. I think it was like ~$10 but the replacements I got were both brand new in box.

Easy setup, look nice, easy to use. Does what you want it to do once you get it configured. It's "the way things should be" :)

I have one and love it. Its the only remote that I ever use and I have a pretty complex setup. My favorite feature is that its motion sensitive, so when I pick it up in the dark it automatically lights up.
