If you have a Hauppauge 250, please let me know how you have it setup, as I can't get this thing working.

I can't this thing to work. I tried to setup the Media Center stuff, but it doesn't detect a remote (of which is working), so it won't continue the installation. I tried to setup using Sage, but it doesn't get any video (in Media Center wizard, if you setup manually, the audio and video are there on Channel 3, so it is working, somewhat I guess).

I'm trying to get the owner to get a hold of tech support, and I am trying to find out this as well. I haven't had any luck finding any information via google.

Any recommendations would be helpful, including links, other forums, or software to try...

I forgot to mention about the included software... I installed the original stuff, and I try to run both the wintv2k and wintv32 programs, but an error comes up, something to the effect of "unable to creat TV window". I uninstalled everything, and then reinstalled it, and I get the same thing. I went and downloaded the latest drivers, as well as latest versions of the two programs, and I still ge the same thing.

The 250 has been around a long time with lots of satisfied customers.

I know that doesn't help you except to say its not the card.

I agree. It's not the card (maybe the software...), it's just a PITA. I'm trying to build a HTPC for someone, and it's just not working. And I'm sure there is a setting or something I'm missing. I was thinking about putting a capture card in my server, but I don't think I'll be going that route anymore...

Did you try the software it comes with, maybe it a bad card or screwed up install.

I would guess something is screwy with a driver *somewhere*, but hard to say what. Try downloading AMCap and see if *that* can see the video/audio feeds. If not, something is definitely FUBARed.

I've been using their PVR150 (two of 'em, actually) for quite a while and am very happy with it.
