Update: Bacardi frozen mix ftw :D

Got my super blender today ("Will it Blend"). So far I've tried a virgin margarita (not a drinker) and my famous blender eggs. It choked on the margarita, but it's only my second time making them so I thought I'd ask for some tips. I got some strawberry margarita mix from the grocery store; combined with the ice in the blender it kind of turned to sludge and only got halfway through the ice. It did pretty dang well with just ice though and is not as loud as everyone says it is. So far I'm not overly impressed with the "magic blender". So anyone have a tasty virgin margarita mix for me to try out?

I am also going to try their marinara recipe for a homemade spaghetti dinner tonight as well as their ice cream recipe...I will update this thread as I try more stuff.

1 generous shot of tequila (reposado), juice squeezed from 1 lime, sprinkle of sugar. Put it in a shaker with plenty of crushed ice. Shake until well chilled and strain into glass.

That's actually for a tequila gimlet, which is much better than a margarita. Doesn't help though since you don't drink alcohol, but they sure are tasty. :p

lol. So a shaker is the secret to good margaritas? The Blendtec does well if you only put about half a jar of ice in - if you fill up the blender jar then it just doesn't crush it all.

I hit paydirt. A friend recommended frozen Bacardi margarita mixes. For virgin, use the whole can, 1 can of water, and then fill with ice and blend. More ice for more slush. I tried the Pina Colada tonight - perfect!
