Both of my shoulders are shot, they're sore 24/7/365.

Sucks for you. At least I have one good shoulder and one that sounds like a bowl of rice krispies or bubble wrap when I move it.

Luckily I hold my katana with my good arm.

And the original question has already been answered.

I do a lot of dumbell press and single arm rasies.. Super setting is typically the only way I get sore..

Slow it down. Try lowering the weight and lifting "super-slow" style. 10 seconds positive, hold for 1, then 10 seconds negative. Aim for 6 reps a set (120 total seconds under tension). Do each set to failure. Do this for 2 or 3 sets and I guarantee your shoulders will be on fire the next day.

Oh man, slow sets are hard. I shudder just thinking about them.

yeah I've weight lifted for so long now, super sets is probably the only way I will really feel it the next day.

Just because you don't feel it that much doesn't mean you didn't work hard

have kids.
seriously...my arms/shoulders are way bigger than before I had kids
simply from picking them up and holding them all the time
I totally notice an increase in stamina in my arms too

haha no doubt, try carrying them a couple of blocks in a hurry, it will feel like your shoulders have literally died.

exactly what I was thinking.
my local grocery store is 3 blocks away. I hate to drive whenit's so close. One day, I took my 5 yr old and my 3 yr old. All was fine on the way there. On the way back, the 3 yr old fell down and bumped her knee (had to carry her)...not more than 10 ft later, 2 bags broke. and so on and so forth. Great workout, though...even with just the groceries!!

What do you mean by supersets?

Do a set of seated Military Press followed immediately by a set of seated Front Raises then immediately do a set of seated Lateral Raises. Rest a minute or two and then repeat.
