Its a decent car, providing you can get any recalls addressed without hassle. The idea of having to go inside the gas tank just to get to the fuel filter is a little strange though.

The early models were plauged with recalls. I think there were 16 total. The thing is they were all fixed by ford at no charge and those early models are now very solid cars.
I bought my 2003 ZTS in february of this year and already have over 16000 miles on it. ZERO recalls and ZERO problems. The car handles almost as well as my Mustang GT did and is very comfortable. Oh.. dont forget the 37+ mpg highway. I would recomend it to anyone looking for solid relaiable and affordable transportation.

yes, i saw that, but knowing how people like to do things around here i still have to ask. what model/year do you have and what experiences have you had?
i'd also bet the better ones are built in mexico. more automation in the factories, which are usually newer as well.
