Anyone have a digital copy of the DSM-5?

Much like the technical manual to a car, or the Bible, the DSM-V is potentially dangerous information to those who aren't equipped to process it.

Get professional help, please.

Pondering OK scenarios for this thread, I can't come up with any. We have the following to go on.

1) You want to contact someone with a *digital* copy of this reference. That you specify digital copy suggests that you aren't interested in a specific piece of information being looked up but instead there is some feature of a digital copy that gives it value to you. Hmm, what might that be? I can't imagine what.

2) You don't want to openly share why you want this. These "I need this. I won't tell you why, but I want you to help me" type threads always work out so well for the original poster. Again, we don't get a "hey, can you look up something and tell me what it says". We get a "pm me, so we can have a secret exchange about your *digital* copy".

No one is going to give you a copy of this reference. Check your public library or pony up the price to buy a copy.

I've worked on DSMs before but it was revision 4 and not 5. A common issue is the fuses will work their way loose from the vibrations caused by the flux capacitor and the flux cards will loose communication with the turboencabulator. You need to go to the FSP and reseat all the fuses starting by the right using only one hand (to avoid getting a shock). Make sure you only do one at a time as everything is redundant and it should not affect service as long as you don't pull two at once. I have a ripped page from an old manual, it's section 14.2 that has the procedure for that. In rare cases you have to reboot the turboencabulator. I normally call GE tech support to walk me through as we have an extended warranty. Sometimes the dinglearms don't engage properly and it's a pain to get everything chooching again.

Typical Anandtech forum help. What's sad is when this was a new forum, people were willing to help others. These days, everyone acts like jerks.

I think everyone is just making fun of the vagueness of the question. I don't think anyone actually knows what a DSM-5 is. It sounds like something technical that is very industry specific, like a turbo-encabulator.

He's basically asking for someone to provide him a copy of "the" mental health reference manual. If he wanted something looked up, he wouldn't have specified a digital copy. Basically, he's wanting to use the forum as a vehicle for his copyright infringement and then getting uppity because he was ridiculed about it. If he wants it, he can buy a used copy for about $30.

Chances are pretty good that someone close to you has some degree of depression, addiction, or other mental illness. If you don't know what the DSM-V is, you probably should.
