Specifically for the Salt Lake City, UT area, if possible. Some of you may have seen my thread on BF, which is now locked. I got nothing but generic responses from CC, so I contacted the Utah Department of Consumer Fraud and the local BBB. I got a message from "an investigator for the state of Utah" (from the first organization, I assume) asking if I still had a copy of the ad. I don't, soooo... anyone know how I can find one?

Hmm... I wonder if that'll be sufficient.

I don't see why not, it should be a scan. just tell them it is a digital copy, unless of course it has gottadeal.com spammed all over it :p
It has bfads.net on it. Also, I can't even make out where it says there will be a minimum of 15 per store. He mentioned this specifically...

Alrighty. I'll probably try to track it down before then, or at least call the guy and tell him I don't have a copy and see what he can do. My parents keep all their papers for recycling, so they MIGHT still have it.

Are you sure they will accept it if its printed? I printed out a flier for compusa last year when they had a huge sale and went in to buy a cheap system (~299) to run smoothwall on and they told me that I needed the actually mailed out flier. I would give them a call to verify.

Well, a mailed out flier is what I'm trying to find.

You can get your local Salt Lake City CC ad as long as you're not a lazy ass.

Contact their circulation department (801) 237-2900 and ask for a backcopy, you can usually pick it up at their offices

Yes, I was going to look into this. They typically charge I assume? Couldn't be much.

Mine charges the cost of the newspaper plus shipping, unless you pick it up.

So $0.50 or so and you'll get the actual SLC CC ad in your hands TOMORROW :)

I've tried public and private libraries and a number of different people at both of the local major newspapers, and apparently no one cares about archiving the ads. Any other ideas?
