Anyone have a Canon SD200 or an A510?

man, you just missed the sd300 deal. SD300 for $261 from Dell. I just got mine and man, I tell ya, it's great. the video is freakin amazing.

My cousin got his sd200 for 230 after dell coupon stacking, so I would keep looking at dell deals.

thats the cheapest i could find it right now too ... however, these are the pics that changed my mind and set me on the a510 ...

compare the pics that are of the same place/object. you will see the A510 pics just look all around sharper. i was VERY VERy interested in the SD200 soley on the fact that it is tiny, and i love electronics so i thought it was so cool 🙂. and also, the pic is great, don't get me wrong. but after looking on that review site and seeing just how small the a510 still really is, and the image quality, i'm going for the a510. its also $100 cheaper, and runs on AA batteries (which i like better) instead of a battery pack.

The reason people have a digicam is to be able to take it with them wherever they go. I'd rather have something smaller and not worrying about lugging it around.

How much larger is the A510 than the SD200?

check the first page on each of those links, from the pulldown menu at the top of the page. it has a "physical view and size" page. you will see, the A510 is CLEARLY small enough to put in your pocket. its smaller than half the size of a CD.

comparing the two, the A510 seems to be a little thicker than the SD200, but the height is almost the same.

Yeah, i was pretty shocked and impressed with the picture of the A510 in front of the cd.

me too, and after reading both of the reviews, and comparing pics, i'm going to place my order for the a510 tomorrow 😀
