Anyone have a California Water Blade?

Love it! I use it on my Camaro SS all of the time....make sure you washed your car REALLY well though.

Those blades OWN. Made cleaning up the chem lab really easy. Spray with water, tiny droplet of soap, lather all over with sponge, spray again, squeegee with blade. Bone dry and damn clean.

but yeah, they're awesome.. just make sure there aren't any little particles on your car.
 
It's a 16" long squeege without the handle, made of soft clear plastic/rubber that you use to dry your car. Towel free. Works great.
 
some walmarts sell a smaller version of the original california water blade.

The cheaper imitation ones are the "california dry blade," and are made in china. The original california water blade is made in the usa. I don't know why the smaller version of the orig blade is still packaged in the dry blade china packaging. The difference i noticed is that the orig blade in the dry blade packagin doesn't have that hole to feel the blade.

edit: the smaller one is a lot cheaper than the bigger one. i think the smaller one is like $9.84 whereas the bigger one is like $17.50. the blades are *almost* the same length, hoever, the handle is a different length.
 
it's not just a squeegee, it's a squeegee that's made of very flexible rubber, So it contours itself very well to a car body. Works very well, but can't get all the water off. You still need to hit it with a chamois to get water out of the cracks and crevices.

It works great, but as someone said, you HAVE to make sure you get the car completely clean. If any grime is left behind, it will gouge your paint.
 
its GREAT cuts drying the car time in half or less
just make sure there isnt any dirt particles left after you wash your car
and i like to rinse off the blade with the hose after every 10-15 strokes 🙂

Ya, the real ones are about $20 most places. I got mine from Costco or Sam's (forgot which) for $10. As usual with warehouse clubs, YMMV.

 
I have one and I like it but I think I need to get a good chamois for the spots I just can't get with the blade. In fact, I think I'll order one right now!

 
I got mine at Target, and it's fantastic. I first use the CWB followed by a huge microfiber towel to pick up the remaining water.

Yes, that's the bad news about using it. But as long as the car and the Blade is clean then I would recommend the product. I usually just use mine on the glass now and the Absorber on the rest of the car.

An Absorber won't be any better if you still have dirt on your car, and the CWB is faster and always reusable.

Pick up a large waffle weave microfiber towel from Bed Bath and Beyond, or pick up a large microfiber drying towel (the blue, large, single pack) from walmart. Both are VERY good towels, especiially the one at walmart; for $6.84, it is worth three times as much, though it is not waffle weave. Only way to get better is to spend alot here. Make sure you cut off the tag so it doesn't scratch.
