You mean settings for the image? Just google in avsforum for your model, they should have optimal setting already. I doubt you'll do better than that, people there have access to pro tools.

looking up setting on AVS like sdifox said will get you mostly there. there are a cpl disks out there that can help as well. Disneys WOW and i believe THX or Dolby has one as well

only true way to get it perfect is to have someone come out and do it with the pro stuff

How many people run slides for the first 100 hours?
I usually use Video Essentials for calibration but I am thinking of running the slides and then having an ISF calibration.

I used Video Essentials on my present 7 year old plasma and I have had zero IR or burn in issues.

i ran slides for the first 100 hours.

few days ago i actually noticed some IR in my right corner of the trutv logo. i had never seen it. thing is i watch like 2 shows on that channel (worlds dumbest and impractical jokers) and had never seen it before. i think it may have been because monday my wife had the tv on while she was doing stuff and it was on in the background.

yesterday it was still visible which sucks. i've ran the scroller built into the st50 a bit and it seems to have gone down but it's still noticeable on a static background that is light colored. hope it goes away at some point.

I used the spears & munsil bluray. I'm not sure how it compares to the others, but it seems pretty comprehensive and includes the blue tinted glasses needed to adjust the color.
