Anyone have a Bodum french press?

My wife and I are in the market. We are trying to figure out if there is a huge difference between the different styles. We are looking for something in the 8 cup range.


Anyone else have one already? Which style? Any complaints? Tips? Thoughts?

the press seems nice, and one friend says it's the only way to go, especially for smaller amounts of coffee. i still like my drip, and it's a lot easier to clean. i think the quality of the coffee makes a bigger impact than press v. drip.

You mix fresh coffee grounds (coarse) with 190 - 205 *F water. You put your plunger on top of the water. It has a metal screen that you plunge into the water after a few minutes. Slowly! This pushes the coffee grounds to the bottom of the beaker. Leaving you with what is supposed to be some good coffee.
